The Core of K-Beauty: The Art of Cleansing and Hydration
The reason K-Beauty is loved worldwide isn't just because of high-quality products, but because of the 'systematic routine' that prioritizes the skin's natural health. The first step you must start with is 'double cleansing.' In Korean skincare, to completely remove makeup and fine dust, we perform a first cleanse with an oil-based cleanser, followed by a second cleanse with a water-based foam cleanser. This is the first step toward smooth skin texture by removing impurities from deep within the pores without irritation. Immediately after cleansing, you should use a toner to balance the skin's pH. At this stage, using the 'tap-tap' technique—where you pour toner into your palms and gently wrap your face to absorb it—can deliver moisture deep into the skin. If you have dry skin, an essence-type toner is recommended; for oily skin, a refreshing water-type toner is best. Supplying sufficient moisture at this stage ensures that subsequent products are absorbed effectively. Thorough cleansing and hydration: this is the true beginning of K-Beauty.
